Colton Elzey

Colton Elzey is a 1st year MA student in the Cinema and Media Studies program at USC. He received his B.A. from Brigham Young University, in Utah, with an emphasis in directing and pedagogy. Colton is pursuing an academic career path, interested in teaching Film Studies at the University level. His particular areas or interest are on audience effects studies, media’s connection to behavioral sciences, culture studies, and—of course—Monster films. Colton is currently a producer on the USC Cohort collaborative podcast Media Literate.

Research Interests: Audience studies, sci-fi/horror representations of the Other, connections between media and contemporary culture.
